Oversized wide-legged pants with an elasticated waistband for maximum comfort and ease of execution. Designed without side seams and available in a shorts version, they can be worn with or without a removable belt for a style ranging from casual to sophisticated. Optional patch pockets on the back and on the front in one of three suggested shapes. Rather high waist, easily adjustable if needed.

What you will learn with this pattern (see the videos of the main techniques here) :

This pattern runs large. Here’s how to choose the size to make based on your fabric:

**Attention, linen always tends to add one size. Moreover, in the shorts version, it will be even nicer if worn a bit loose.

Recommended fabrics :

  • Weight: very light to light (110 to 200 gsm or 3-6 oz.)
  • Fabric: flexible woven (crepe, twill...)
  • Material: fluid (silk, viscose, linen…)
  • Stretch factor*: 0 to 20%

All version has been made size 38 without any modification except for pants lengthened by 1.5 cm (Johanna’s measurements: 1m75 - 87/71/95):

  • Beige linen pants version: worn with a MODJO t-shirt
  • Brown floral linen-viscose pants version: worn with a MODJO t-shirt
  • Ecru viscose pants with small flowers version: worn with a MODJO t-shirt
  • Black double gauze shorts version: worn with an AIMEE blouse
