Easy to Wear, Easy to Make

The instructions for this pattern are entirely clear and the quality of the printed version excellent. I like the weight of the paper. Rather than the thin type, this easy to trace without damaging the original. About sizing: Though I usually wear a size 34/4 in readymade (in the USA), I did decrease the breadth of the tunic's hip sweep. My hip measurement being 38 inches. The sweep is too large and pointed for me, at least when using a heavier single-gauze fabric. A softer fabric would not need as much reduction. Also, I'm just 5ft 1in in height, so might benefit from raising at the bust line or reducing the v-neck about an inch. After making this one time, I know how much to adapt it to my size (I know, I should have made a toile). Even so, I'll enjoy wearing this as it is, perhaps with a tank or camisole.

Just Perfect
DECLIC

I am so pleased i got round to making this pattern, being a free one i wasn't hoping for much. I was so happy with how it turned out. I made it with a soft viscose and it looks beautiful, the few pleats in the shoulders are just enough and a brilliant touch with the faux placket look..never done that before. All in all very happy indeed :)

My Favorite Work Trouser Pattern

I love this pattern for making myself nice trousers for work! Johanna's drafting is impeccable. I have also made the Attitude pants and love them too! These fit me without any adjustments other than inseam length to fit my height, which is unheard of. I love that I can adapt this pattern to make other designs for myself. YouTube videos are very helpful too. Next purchase will be the California... then I would like to try a top pattern. Thank you, Johanna!

My favourite vest/gilet pattern

This is a pattern that deserves more attention - it's very versatile, it layers beautifully over other garments, and it has loads of options. Plus, the long version has HUGE pockets! I've made it three times (one long, two short) in corduroy, denim and moleskin, two with hoods and one with the stand-up collar, and the last one only took me a day and a half from cutting out to sewing on the buttons. The instructions assume a bit of sewing knowledge, but the video tutorial on YouTube was very helpful when I made the first one. It's useful for using up remnants from other projects, too, as the short version takes very little fabric.
